Marie is from Mystic, Connecticut and lives in Brooklyn. She works as the Communications Coordinator for NY Renews, a coalition of over 300 environmental justice, labor, faith, youth, and community groups organizing for climate justice across New York State.
Her poems, essays, and reviews have been published in Los Angeles Review of Books, The Believer, The Rumpus, Entropy, Prolit, Bomb Cyclone, and elsewhere. She received her MFA in creative writing from Rutgers University–Camden.
Previously, she taught critical and creative writing at Rutgers and worked as the Media Organizer for the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union, where she was a proud member.
